-- Why fans have an interest in a healthy Jody Gerut in 2007: Ed Eagle at pirateball.com wants to know why the fans are obsessed with Gerut and Jake explains to Ed that Gerut is a plus defender in RF and the Pirates were about -20 runs defensively there last year and a Gerut/Nady platoon projects out close to 7 RC/27.

I live in Cobb County, GA--home to ECB Baseball Complex and I'll visit the Perfect Games around the country in 2007. I'll get back to you if I talk to any Pirates scouts.

I'm a native of Pittsburgh and I read your site often ever since finding out about it from rotoauthority.com. I love your insights into the different articles.
However, with the recent podcasts, I was wondering if you could possibly write transcripts? I ask this because I'm deaf and cannot hear what you're saying and would like to know.

blake -- I do podcasts once in awhile as I try to figure it all out. My goal is to do some game time stuff in the season. And thanks for the shout with PG scouts.. that would be kewl.
apn - transcripts too, eh? What a great idea. You aren't the only one who has asked so consider it a done deal starting with the next one.

Awesome, because I'm an avid fantasy baseball player and am currently in a keeper league and have, like you and other readers, suffered through the last decade of losing seasons.
