Pirate City Rumors: Cutch Starting at Altoona?

Pirate City rumor today -- while nothing is set in stone yet, Andrew McCutchen seems to think he very well could be starting the year off in Altoona, bypassing high A all together.

I mentioned a few days ago the org seemed to be wanting to fast track the 19 year old and that Cutch could end up becoming the next Littlefield victim.

Not sure where Cutch got his hope from but he certainly has it. Obviously the organization has led him to believe there is a possibility of it happening. One thing about Andrew is that he does not pull punches - he is upfront and as honest as a 2-year old about everything. He is quite the young man.

I hope this young man starts off in Hickory and plays at least half a year there before being sent up. I understand the org's need for his presence in 2007 if he can handle it, but they need to back up and let him develop.
